If you like the Crown, try White Queen, White Princess (sequel) and Spanish Princess (sequel) on Starz. Its like the crown but in the 1400's and 1500's.

Made it to season 4 of the crown. Still very good. Although I do prefer Claire Foy, Olivia Coleman is also great. Diana and Margaret Thatcher this season are excellent!

Also finished the Undoing. Have to admit, kind of disappointed in the ending, somewhat anti-climactic, and they could have given Elena's character a lot more depth. Not one of David E. Kelly's best series.

I can see "Diana" winning an award for that role.

I agree. Last episode was a disappointment and there was opportunity to make it much more interesting.

Also felt this season of Fargo was a letdown. Maybe it has run its course.

we've been watching 'red oaks' on amazon prime. it's a nice departure from all the hour-long dramas that we've mostly been watching.

think 80s john hughes, but not as melodramatic with some dry wit thrown in. i'm not a big paul reiser fan, but i really like his role in this series. soundtrack is mostly really solid 80s deeper cuts.

warning the first episode makes this series seem pretty sophomoric and maybe even overly cliche, but the series definitely grows / matures after a couple of episodes. we're nearly through season 3.

Wife & I finally finished all of New Girl, so now we're catching on this season of The Crown.

Next, I get to introduce her to HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother). I've been trying to convince her for 3yrs to give it a try and she finally agreed! Now if I can just get her to sit down and watch Scrubs (all on Hulu)...

I think i might just put Scrubs above the Office as my all time favorite show. More people should watch it.

If folks haven't watched 'The Good Wife' it is worth a run through. Lots of episodes each season, and 7 seasons, so it takes up some time.

Big fan of Scrubs, never cared much for The Office outside of Dwight being pranked.

Rectify. It was on Sundance a few years back and on Netflix now. It's only 4 short seasons. Slow moving but very good. It delves into the life of a man who was released from death row after 20 years due to a DNA test and how he and his family adapt (or don't).

Very good show. I think there are some posts on it a little ways back in this thread.

For the love of all that is good and holy--

Drop *everything* and go binge watch "The Queen's Gambit" on Netflix.

It's absolutely *outstanding*. Best thing I think I've seen on television in literally decades.

It's only seven episodes-- the first one or two episodes start fairly slow as they're building the foundation-- after that, it's off to the races.

I've watched it twice and my wife's watched it three times. Every single friend or co-worker we've suggested it to has absolutely loved it.

Watch it. Now. You won't be disappointed.

Obviously...we don't count season 9. They were alright, but no where near the 1st 8.

Honestly Homeland lost our attention around season 4. Stopped watching and lost the care to get back into it. This was a little after Claire started going rogue and dealing with her medical issues.

Some of the later seasons were good. She is really an amazing actress. What they did to Quinn kinda annoyed us.
