Sliding Roof Seals, Rear windows now !
Hello all,
There hasn't been any issue after 26000 kms on the X1, except for the sliding roof seals. After a few opening/closing, on both sides they started to fall down. It's the thick rubber seal that clips on the inside rail that I'm referring to. Very annoying especially when you don't realize it has jumped off its track again and is hanging loosely from roof behind your back. Know what I mean? Doesn't bode well with the Italian suit and the Crystal Gray Persol sunglasses... Has anyone experienced the same problem ? Would glueing the seal be the solution, or would that entail another problem (such as dust accumulation in the sliding rails) ? Thanks for your input. Sam

So I think, although he'll probably glue the seal to its rail...

I confirm this issue as well. X1 xDrive 28i 2010 made in October 2009 in Leipzig (according to my VIN). At least once a week I see the seals falling down. Im planning this week to take it to the dealer or just save a bunch of time and glue it myself, thought do not know which kind of glue to use :S

Well, I was determined to make it the dealer's problem anyway (although said dealer being a bit far away from my little country hamlet, and having forgotten about the problem until I started to drive open-roof again a week ago, I have procrastinated...), but I wanted to know if the issue was specific to my X1. Thank you all for your inputs.

SLIDING ROOF SEALS, REAR WINDOWS... What's next?
Darn.
27300 kms and now the rear driver-side window would not roll al the way up. It hits the top nd slides back down 5 in, as if there were an obstacle, but there is not ! Damn, this car is falling apart !
