PPF and ceramic

Any vendor suggestions for ppf and ceramic coating in central jersey? I am around the Westfield area. Thanks!

How many think the ceramic on top of PPF is worth it?

All of the better brands of PPF now offer a version that has a hydrophobic topcoat that repels water like a ceramic coating. They cost more money than regular PPF and you have to decide if that’s the route you want to take.

I have normal PPF, it is Xpel’s Ultimate Plus and put a layer of Ceramic Pro’s 9H followed by their Top Coat on top of it. I definitely think it is worth the money to have this additional ceramic coating on top of the PPF as the water rolls right off of it.

Totally worth it - especially on matte PPF. Repels water, water spots, dirt etc like crazy. PPF can never be ceramic and ceramic can never be PPF - the 2 are not the same - they serve 2 very different functions- need both.

Thanks all! Appreciate. I was thinking of going full front ppf and a ceramic coat. Ordered an X7, mineral white. Full ppf is too expensive :/ I generally keep my cars for 5 years at least

Car drives the same with or without PPF, with or without wax/ceramic coating.

Ceramic as a longer-lasting wax coating - worth it. Fair disclosure - both wax and ceramic coatings are way too thin (~1 mil) to provide any real impact protection. But they do provide an appreciable appearance improvement and mak future car washes easier. To my eyes.

PPF - no worth it on a <$250K car. Then again, I don't mind an ocassional ding or a paint chip, and have used touch-up paint in the past without drama. Way cheaper than PPF.

People selling PPF will disagree, as do some of those who paid for it.

IMHO,
