Is this a door ding or a rock chip?

I live in an apartment and want to make sure if its a door ding or a rock chip. I didn’t see it the last time I drove. So thinking it is a door ding but seems too deep for a door ding.

Is this fixable by dr color chip???

I don't think you can be sure. But its presence on a seam suggests a local strike. But on the possibility a rock hit there who knows.

Nothing is really "fixable" with Dr. ColorChip, but it will cover it adequately. You have to follow the instructions carefully. Perfect? Nah. Only thing close to perfect is a body shop with a local repaint/blend..

Door ding. Touch up paint will cover that right up.

Looks like a careless person opened their car door into your car.

Smile

100% door ding, probably from a taller vehicle like an SUV or a truck. They opened the door quite hard too judging from the length of the scrape.

luckily there is no dent just scraped paint, so like the others said with a few light applications you should be able to cover that up
