Coffee holder part number
Hi
The center console coffee holder in my wife’s BMW is missing a tab to hold the coffee securely. Is this part replaceable? Can’t seem to find a part number for it. Thanks Alex |

Hi acolic, good news and bad news.
The good news is that these tabs are somewhere inside the center console. You probably won't have to buy new ones if you can find them. The bad news is no, the part isn't replaceable, and you're going to need to remove the entire center console to find/fix it. Not impossible to do, but more than your average "hey honey can you fix this in my car" RealOEM should give you a good idea of what needs to be done https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_7437 |

I haven't seen any information on how it can be replaced. I figure if you could remove the console and locate the part inside, you could squeeze it back between the band/spring and re-install everything.
This issue is so common that the lack of a posted solution makes me think there is no good solution, and it's frustrating how bad BMW is at making cupholders. Ironically most of my passengers think the detachable cupholder is so cool, but several have commented on how the simple, center mounted cupholder is a POS. At least we don't have the pop-out holders on the E90 |
