19" rims & higher profile tyres?
Hi all, there were some rub issues with 255/40/19 setup (http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=820030)
but would there be any issues in front with: 225/45/19 (front) ? 255/40/19 (back) Want higher sidewall instead of 225/40/19 & 255/35/19 and non run flat tyres. |

That was me with 255. I am now using 245/40/19 on all 4 and have no issue.
The diameter different between 225/45/19 and 255/40 is only 0.06" smaller; however since the width is thinner (1.18") the chance of rubbing while turning should be less. Even when I was using 255 the rubbing stop after less than 10k mile with little less trend on the tires. Hope this help! Quote:
