He sends a one-click VM for Mac. So you don't install anything per-se, it's basically just running an app. Couldn't be more simple.

He just tunnels through the computer, so I never had any of the files myself, sorry.

Most of these still carry over regardless, I've printed the list.. The blank line from bc is going to eliminate it from showing nothing am I correct?

Allow raising sunroof from opened position Sunroof control button double-click speed Brake force display 2 algorithm enabled (during hard braking) Brake force display with rear fog lights (during normal braking) Daytime running lights with brake force display (drl with rear led tubing) Disable dimming mirrors Remote control trunk lid button imediateley release trunk lid Corrected analog speedometer Changed fuel tank reserve warning Probably there's more that I did but can't remember now. I advise to load the nettodat.trc file in NCSDummy and work from there. It is a lot more safer than manually modifying the .trc files. Let me know if you need any of the above functions. |

Is there a sticky here, or a site somewhere that will list the available choices? I am certainly willing to pay $70 to have this service, but, of course, want to hit all the bases in one at bat

There is no sticky for E84 since all codes for E90 LCI apply for our chassis. I made an excel sheet for my personal use that lists functions I was able to find. Sometimes multiple options throughout multiple ECUs are required for one function to be operational. Let me know if you want it. I'm willing to share it with the community.

Attached is my E89 code list (just remove the .txt extension). I always recommend the use of NCSDummy.
Not all codes are tested or needed. To use the filter function you need MS Office 2010 or above. Let me know if you have questions. Last edited by d1saster; 04-17-2015 at 02:17 AM.. |

Just got done with Alex adding the alpine b3 trans flash, sirius enable, and a few coding items. We had a small delay as I had a very recent update from the dealer, but he was able to access updated files in just a few minutes, and got it working smoothly.
Sirius sound quality is much better than it was in my jeep or truck, glad we did it. The trans flash feels good also, not too lazy in D, and great in S. Very happy with how it turned out. |

How did you manage this? Do you remember what you did? This has been bothering me and I've never been able to fix it.

The result is about 1 mph difference at 70 mph. |

Other apps than Carlys?
This is a great thread.
I have successfully coded a few things with the Carly app for BMW (popularly called BMWhat if I am right). However I would like to do things that the app does not offer. For example I would like to disable the seat belt alert. Has anyone tried other apps to code their E84? |

i could not code out the seat belt warning with carly software until the last ios release V20.2-4. it came out a couple of weeks ago and added the CSM module coding for the E84.
Like a dream. i hope they can add the idrive nag screen coding soon as well. |

I know it's a PITA, but take the time to get BMW standard tools/ncs expert up and running and start coding for real.

Farewell lights does not code
I have succesfully used the Carly app and bluetooth device to code a few modifications. But the Farewell lights function does not work on the car, it did not work before I bought the coding app either. Certainly I have coded both its activation and duration. Is there anything special to this specific function that I should be aware of?
It does work both if you lock the car or not, doesn't it? |
