H&R Springs installed
Had H&R springs installed and a full alignment done 2 days ago and after a day of mixed driving I can say I'm very pleased with the results. The X1 looks better and handles better. A lot less body roll without a harsh ride. If you're considering them, go for it.
Total for the springs, installation and alignment was less than $600. 10/10 would "spring" again

H&R springs are without a doubt my favorite thing I've done to my car. The ride is more comfortable than the M-sport springs and like you say, it handles better and looks better.

H&R Springs

Mine were about $370 installed. Everybody loves the looks. Nobody even knows what it is it looks so good. Handles and rides better. No more Subaru "Outback" appearance for me... |

Are there DDC suspension available for our X1 like the one by KW that you can control the damping by press of a button? I love the current OEM sport suspension on my X1 but on the rough roads it really gets rough so sth like this would to awesome.
BTW, sorry if I'm hijacking the thread

There are so many H&R equipped cars I didn't bother taking pics. Sorry.
After spending today on the autobahn I am doubly impressed. High speed stability is greatly improved. My wife even mentioned how much better the car felt at high speed (both driving and riding). Between shipping, German shop rates, and the euro/dollar conversion it upped the price a little. But I'm still 100% happy.

H&R Springs
Yes, I bought them from Turner during a special sale and I have a very good Indy.
That helped me with the excellent price I paid! |

One last thing: I've remarked before in a few other threads about my wife having a difficult time closing the rear hatch because she's rather short. The H&R's actually helped out with that as well. Win/Win!

I'm sure the ride is more comfortable than the M-Sport springs, which are deliberately stiff for good reasons. But that they handle better, I'd like to see some documentation on. For better handling, I'd pick stiffer springs with longer travel, comfort be damned.

Our X1 is a Sport, not an M-Sport so I can't speak to the differences between M-Sport and the H&Rs. I'm not even sure of the difference in springs between stock, Sport and M-Sport.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but it would be awesome if someone w/ m-sport could comment on how much the springs lowered their ride? Assuming that it's visually noticeable as well? Thanks!

Between 1-1.25 inches. Yes, it is very noticeable, and a pic of a grey MSport running factory 19's are shown in the is thread with H&R installed.
