Spacers for my X1?
Hi all...fairly new to this community and to my X1...I'm thinking of having wheel spacers installed on my X1. I have 18" wheels. Has anyone else done this? Thoughts? Also, what dimension spacers? Thinking 12mm front, maybe 15mm rear? TIA!

I know a few people have installed wheel spacers, and I haven't read about any problems with them, outside of whatever is common with wheel spacers (vibrations, etc.).
Wish I could be of more help than that, I'm sure someone will chime in. |

I ordered mine from Berger Motorsports...Have them on already...they look great; can definitely tell the difference, visually...haven't really pushed them so I can't speak to performance. I did run my right front into the curb already though so have a nice curb rash I need to get fixed...they stick out more...

use a standard floor jack, there are four pads that are mounted under the car. the points are behind the front tires and the rear are just in front of the rear tires. if you have a hocky puck put that on top of the jack before you lift up the car to make good fit between the jack and car. good luck...

Thanks, I saw those and thought surely they were too flimsy and had to be for something else. Yes, jack pad is a must from the looks of it.
I'll be going 15mm all around. |

I have H&R 20mm at the rear.
I have chosen not to do in the front as it looks good like this. Also de spacer is bolted on the car and then the rim bolted on the spacer. No vibrations, handling is still the same, xdrive model. |
