update on my orange x1's repair status
These pictures are current as of 08/20/13. My car has been inmobile since 06/25/13. They finaly got the last of parts in a little less then 2 weeks ago and are making really good progress on it. although the pictures really do make it look bad. They have made great strides since i took these pictures. They currently have it in paint as of 08/22/13 and should be finishing it up today. They will be putting the car back togther on monday. hallelujah it has been so long i am going to give my car a hug when i get it back haha.

He explained that in an earlier post. While they have the wheels off, you should see about a brake upgrade

back on the 25th of june. some one decided not to yield at a yield sign as i was making a left turn and caused some pretty bad damage to it. a little less than 8g's worth. Im just glad there was no frame damage at all. and even though it looks really bad which it is the damage was pretty much contained to the side and rear of the car. I just cant wait to get it back. getting the parts down here has been an absolute nightmare. delays galore. haha. but its almost there and i cant wait

sucks that it has been out of commission so long. Glad they are coming along with the repairs.
I too was an unfortunate victim a few weeks ago. Driver went through a stop sign and didn't see me... air bags didn't deploy. $12,300 in damage and out of commision for a month... should have it back next week or so. Worst part is the car can never be CPO'ed so I have to have my lawyer go after diminished value against the insurance company... |

Glad to hear it! My damage isn't as heavily sustaining as your's but I think we'll agree, hearts get broken when beemers get damaged.
I don't want to hijack your thread! Here is a pic of the damage after the accident. What isn't seen is the damage to the front and underneath....hoping to have it back this week |

That damage still looks bad. I know you must hate looking at those pics to. But at least your getting your x1 back soon!!!! I still hate looking at the damaged pics of my car. Yuck. It sucks but almost done. Went to the dealer Saturday and car is all finished. It just has to back to the body shop to be detailed on Monday. So i might get it back Monday but no later than Tuesday. But at least my car is all done. And summit collision done such a fantastic job on the car. You would never think this car was in a bad accident. It all looks like it came straight from the factory. Including the paint. That is what impresses me most.

That's got to be a tough color to match with a respray. Summit has a lot of experience on BMW's thanks to my son and wife.

hahaha they must cause they done such an excellent job with it. in person your seriously cant even tell this car was in an accident or that part of it got repainted. they really done good! Everything blends so good. it looks like it just rolled of the assembly line. - my palmetto tree and YEEHAAA license plate. haha. The color though out of everything is what impresses me most. it looks perfect
