Fresh look after window tint
I have had my sports line xdrive 28i for exact a month as of today. Drove it to ski, sight-viewing and of course shopping and work. Really enjoyed its company after a little over 2000 miles I've put on it.
I'm so lucky I had it tinted earlier of the day temperature hit first top of the year here in Colorado and wanted to share the new look with you guys. Pre-tint when on the way to a ski resort: Last edited by GreatStarSe7en; 04-29-2013 at 02:48 PM.. |

BAAAAAAAMMM! Peanut butter and JAAAAAMMM! Looks good, I love tint. Too bad BMW doesn't seem to love it for north americans.

I don't have a pic but it looks almost exactly the same as the white X1 which started this thread. In retrospect I'd probably do the rear hatch area at 50% because you can still see through it.
If you have the sunroof and keep the shade open, it makes the tints look a lot less intense. You can still see inside with 35% but theres some degree of privacy and it keeps the car much cooler in hot weather. I'll try to get a pic later on. |

Yup, most people who buy a 35i care more about how hard they're running the engine than what mpg they are getting.
I'm trying to remember if the mpg display thing was part of a government request for that info to be shown to get citizens more focused on mileage and mpg requirements for the 2018 and 2025 higher minimum mpg requirements. Probably not but for some reason I have that in my mind. |

But where did other and more standard gauges go? Voltage and coolant, for example? I can't find them in the iDrive either - all that's there is tire pressure and oil level (which takes several minutes to check). Will the lady in the box tell me if I have a radiator leak, or need to look for jump cables? Or do I have to hook up a BT/WiFi/USB dongle to the dashboard OBD 2 port and read the values myself? |

Ah, sorry I didn't reply earlier, but if you'll see there are 4 side windows (1 in front passenger /driver door, 2 in rear door and 1 behind the C pillar) X 2, plus the rear cargo lid.
