I'm getting our winter tires put on today. Temps are between 40-50F now so that's when I make the switch. Also, Michelin has their $70 rebate on now and winter tire rebates are $50 per set. Michelin Xice3 for the X1 and Pilot Alpin PA4 for the M3. I'm getting $240 in rebates between the two sets!

I am hoping to pickup a used set of Michelin Pilot alpins soon. Does anyone know if OEM E60 M wheels will fit the X1? Style 184, 8JX18 ET:20. Tire is 245/45 R18.

I'm also liking the look of the double-spoke Rial Como. Has anyone used the Como on an X1? Specs are fairly close to the MSW 22, which we know fits without issue: Como has 35mm offset, MSW has 34mm; both are 17x7.5; but the Rial is 5.55" backspacing, while the MSW is 5.62" |

have you had a chance to drive the PA2s in snow/ice yet, how do they handle? I was going to go with the Blizzak LM25-1, but they're out of stock until Jan

Yes I went to Chicoutimi last week and drove in a snow storm without any problem. I do have sport package and have 18" wheels. Did not see big difference in handling on higway on dry surface... Very glad with my choice for now...

great, thank you! Ordered a set of the Alpin PA2 from tirerack with Rial Como tires, hopefully they'll handle Tahoe driving equally well!

On the tirerack web site. Do not know the price for wheels only. Paid 1770 $ for tire and wheels ( all included)... Delivered at my door in Chambly.

Will 18x8 38mm offset wheels fit?
I've got a line on some Blizzak tires on replica M Sport wheels on craigslist, but I'm unsure of if 18x8 38mm offset wheels will fit. I kind of understand offset, but am unsure of how the wheel thickness offsets it.
I have a 2013 x35i M Sport with 19 inch wheels, if that makes a difference. Thanks! |
