BMW drops the ball in the US again...
First let me start by saying I'm one of the biggest BMW fanatics around.
I'm also a Diesel fanatic. I've been complaining about lack of diesel X3 in the US for at least a year now, and now that BMW announced the X1 with no Diesel option I'd just like to voice my disgust, yet again, with lack of a diesel option. I have a 170 mile round trip daily work commute so yeah, it matters to me. Bought a 2012 TDI golf (44.1 mpg) for the commute but would have much rather been doing the commute in a X1 or X3 diesel. I'm sure lots of excuses will fly around, economics, marketing, EPA restrictions, Embargo's, taxes, cost, etc, whatever... bottom line remains the same- gas is almost $4.50 here (yes, still cheaper than across the pond) and getting 600 miles out of tank of diesel F-ing rocks. |

+1... Exactly how I feel. BMW already builds the car I want... Just bring it the USA or Canada! I will buy it up north!

+1: hugely let down BMW hasn't shipped the 23d here yet. They like to talk diesel (at least the past couple of years) and yet its a no show after a 2+ year delay? No manual offered in a small sporty car? Service only wants to see us every 18 months now? Don't like where this is going, GLK diesel will be getting strong consideration- from me anyway.
