There was a mention here of adding coolant temp to the list of things that can be summoned with the tab on the end of the turn signal indicator, but no more was mentioned. Moon |

x1
just want to report to you....
I just made 275 miles in my loaner car with 3700miles on it - x1 x2.8, with aver. speed of 60-75 mph with AC on and outside temp 32-35F using EcoPro mode + using CControl for about 90% of a time - my average speed were 63.5mph and I got !! 26.1mpg - totally not impressed (GAS 93' 10% ethanol) I thought I would get at min 30+mpg my new 2014 X5 50i in service - long story... valet person crashed my new car in-front of me during final 2 minutes of delivery, nothing serious but needs to be fixed ... last weekend I was able to pull on my new x5 with 750miles V8 445HP engine traveling 50-60mph (black ice all the way until home), again 275 miles temp 28-35F , aver speed 53mph EcoPro mode with CC 90% .... my MPG=25.4 door to door (including multiple traffic stops due to accidents) - that I think really impressive on a car that has double the cylinders and almost double the weight

I have got 27 mpg in a brand new (200 miles) xDrive28i during a 400 mile round trip to Tahoe from Bay Area (Read my previous post in this thread.)
I think around 30 mpg should be possible in a relatively flat mostly highway trip. My current overall average at 1150 miles is 24.5 mpg (about 50/50 city-highway except the 400 mile trip to Tahoe). |

First "road trip" 300 mi. RT at 3000 miles - mostly Interstate at 65-75 mph average crept up to 27 mpg. Back down to 24.7 mpg after a week of suburbia/rural driving.

About the same
28 xDrive: Just started fourth tankful and I am running 24-25MPG per tank in mixed driving. Lots of stop and go in my "city" driving. One pure HWY run = 29 MPG over about 190 miles.

35i with a little over 300 on the clock. First..well...2nd top off of the tank since I got it but I didn't note the mileage the first time. Trip computer says 18.8mpg but I didn't reset it since last fill up. Doing the math from miles driven since last fill up and what I put in tonight: 20.3mpg. Considering the newness and highway/city mix, I'm happy. If nothing else, I can commute a whole week and still be at half a tank. Can't do that in the Moupe.

I'm getting around 20-22 mpg on average with a bay area commute with very little highway in a new 28i xdrive. No ecomode, ASS set to off. Still better than my older car, but far from the 33 mpg

That 33 isn't combined. It's highway. So your bay area commute is just about where you should be

Awful Gas Mileage
I just hit 1000 miles on my X1 35i M sport. I do not drive the car very hard so far as it was brand new. I have averaged about 16.5 mpg. I cannot believe how low this mileage is. While I did not buy this car for gas mileage, I did not expect it to be so low. My 2004 Infiniti FX45 with a 315 V8 and heavier than the X1 got 17-18 mpg and I beat on it. I keep thinking there is something not working right. Any advice or input would be appreciated.
