I've got the skenedesign plate holder sitting in my trunk (along with the front plate). If I get pulled over I'll tell them, "I just got the parts and am about to put it on, honest!" No way am I blowing 2 holes through the front of my bumper if I can get away with it.
Of course IF is the operable word.

My boyfriend didn't want holes on his bumper as well, so he used super strength magnets to hold his plate.

Mantis, Don't you remember seeing this posted over in the M3 section? The obvious solution if you want to have a renewable means to beat this ticket.
http://www.gominigo.com/NHLPB-main.html The Tow Hook mounted plate holder is generally $35. Pretty easy to take off and back on I beleive as well.
