X1 Rear Lower Deflector Damage, DIY Possible?

2025 X1 xDrive28i with M Sport Package, haven't had it a month and got low speed rear-ended today. Minor cosmetic damage to the right lower deflector/bumper trim rear lower, and the black trim insert was shattered. No sensor damage, everything working fine.

Replacement looks fairly doable, remove screws under the deflector along with two expanding trim rivets that will have to be replaced. Then I assume there are clips all along the deflector where it meets the black upper bumper which will need to be carefully popped.

Looking at parts websites, I think the deflector is part #51-12-5-A4F-FD5, but none of the sites seem to have a way to specify color.

Is this a reasonable task to pursue? Other driver was uninsured so I would rather not make a claim through my insurance.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not too familiar w/ your gen X1 but is the part you're looking for P/N 51128083650?

#11 from this diagram (RealOEM).

Also, that piece looks to be piano black(?). Not a bane that I have had to deal with before but, unlike body color parts/panels, I assumed those type of parts came pre-finished and not in need of paint. Perhaps others here can comment on that.

My wife had almost the exact same damage in the same spot with the same car...eerie! I can confirm that black trim piece comes prefinished in shadow line black and replacing it takes about 30 seconds.

The bumper portion is tougher....if you can reasonably pop out the dent and touch up the paint it might look reasonable. Ours wasn't quite that bad on the bumper portion so I was able to touch up the paint easily.
