I've never seen a X drive dyno on 93 pump, not sure how much hp we can make. Only awd dyno in my area is Mustang dyno, good for tuning, but not known for high hp figures...

Mwtrogus, i made a thread on n54tech. Someone warned me about fueling issues due to the 2014 X1 could be using the F series HPFP instead of the e series HPFP. Is there any truth to that? I thought the E84 X1 uses mostly E series components.

Haha no worries, I run map 1 16psi on pump 93 and it rips with no issues ever. When upping e85 mixes and higher boost 20+ I run into high rpm issues or if I don't limit boost in 1st and 2nd at higher boost levels. If conditions are stable(temps and ignition) I think 18psi on pump is good to go. I use the diode trick as well to trick the ecu

I've got a question that is probably obvious to everyone else, but is that 15-16psi boost an absolute value or is that over and above what the ECU is trying to put out?
Reason I ask is because stock I'm getting readings of 16psi under hard acceleration. I am in the 28i model if that makes any difference.... |

Pneumatic wastgate on N55 X1 turbo.
It'd tough to see from the toptions of the engine bay, but it can be seen between the coolant overflow and the intake pipe. If Pure needs the part number, take the front passenger wheel off and snap a pic of the wastegate sticker for them. There are some turbos that have a different arm bracket and they need to know what style your stock has so you can remount the wastgate parts on the stage 2 before install |

Yes e-series N55 type B. Get the Flex fuel wires aND the clip the diode on the jb4 board and run ISO firmware. Also the n20 tmap is used for higher boost map targets and can splice in resistors on the tmap to trick the ecumenical with higher temp readings

read up on it at the n54 tech website... N55 large turbo settings page. You need to set the N20 TMap setting in JB4 to "1".
If using stock turbo, it wont hit the targeted boost at the higher rpms, so it would be better to stay with stock tmap and regular jb4 maps or create a custom map 6.

I am only planning to run Map2 and at most Map6 with a target boost of 16PSI. Do I really need to get the Flex fuel wires and run the ISO firmwire? I love power but I am trying to make my mods as simple and reliable as possible. This means I probably want to keep the fueling system stock.

Yes the ff wires give you more info for logging to make sure all is working properly. Need the iso mod and firmware to properly log in values and bring on boost targets earlier. The ps2 does spool a little slower, but is great at holding mid range mid throttle psi, it isn't twitchy (on/off) like stock turbo. Really impresses me everyday in my daily driver!
