Front Bumper Removal(video)
I hit a raccoon and needed to remove the bumper to replace the front trim pieces. I know there is one other video out there but I believe this one has more detail. Overall an easy job to perform.

Thanks for that.
I have a question concerning your Silver Section on the Front Bumper. When I look under mine it has a lot of small male pieces the length of the section that clicks into small holes in the Black Section. They seem to be melted on to one another. I'm concerned if I try and pull the Silver Section off it will break both Sections. I just want to take that piece off to repaint and also Rear Silver Section. It looks like you will be replacing your Silver Section thanks to Mr. Raccoon. Would you be able to put my mind at rest as to my above concerns. |

I went with Painting the F and R Silver Sections while they were on the car. Turned out great and looks heaps better with all the bottom sections now the same Bumper Black Color. |

You've got me there.
Being an old guy i'm not good with computers. It's time I found out how but will have to find someone. I used a Flexi Prime Undercoat Spray Can, 3 Coats and an Acrylic Matt Black, 4 Coats. Very close to the same Original Black Bumper Colour. Dont hold your breath but will work on pic. |

What is the easiest way to separate the bumper where it clips into the body (at the top of the mud guard)
I finally got it to unhook but I thought it was going to break, it should not be that difficult. Do I need to use something (plastic) to pry/splice it open? |

If I remember mine was a bit tricky but it just slid out. I didn't use any tools. I did get a bit frustrated. I always get that way with body/interior work. I don't know if I should pull harder or look harder for a missed bolt/screw.

Once i got it out and had a look at it, I don't think you need to take out the bolt from underneath the fender as in the video, only the one accessible from the top where the fender meets the bumper. (I could be wrong of course)
The clips indicate that you should be able to separate it by sliding something thin between the fender and bumper to unhook the clips. I am not very mechanical, but I just feel there should be less force involved 😉 |

Attached is the instructions of how to remove front bumper. After you remove the one screw you need to use a flat object between the bumper and the fender to unclip the bumper. Do not use force since you can break the clip.
