Here in Connecticut, it appears gas stations can't sell 91 (95 EU), so there's nothing between 89 (93 EU) and 93 (98 EU). While the N55 can run on 89 octane, BMW recommends 91, so that usually means filling up with 93. Which really is 89 with ethanol added, which bumps the anti-knock index to 93, but lowers the energy and leans itself by the ethanol sucking moisture from the air. Luckily, right across the MA border, there's a racing/veteran oriented gas station that sells both 91 octane and E0 (zero ethanol) fuel. Which makes my car very happy. The engine noise goes down, and mpg increases compared to 93 octane E10. |

Just got the dinan stage 1, I can't not enjoy it, still averaging 22 mpg. On the highway it's much better, but I spend a lot of time on side roads.
