After seeing the new 2016 X1, who's keeping their X1 and whos' getting rid of theirs
Hello Everyone!
I was just curious to know of who is keeping their X1 following the new redesign and who is getting rid of theirs, in favor, of the new redesign. Me personally i dislike the new X1 so i will be keeping My X1 until the wheels fall off. Just wanted to get everyone's opinion. Thank you |

Engine in the wrong position and Haldex as a pseudo x-drive, well, nope, this is called a VW Tiguan.
I drove the 2 Active Tourer (same engine and chassis) and... shame... drives worse than a VW. Fat front axle and lots of understeering. And the engine sound is awful. I hope they improved things for this new X1. But anyway, technically, it's no longer a BMW.

Keeping. New one will be easily 15 seconds slower around a 2min track (I realize I am the only one who cares about this).
And with my current x1 putting out 450lb ft torque and a 4400lb towing capacity, when I get a dedicated track car it will do great as a sporty DD and great tow vehicle as well. |

I couldn't afford to sell mine for the new one, LOL
But I think I'll like mine better anyway

Was sort of interested in the 300+ hp model rumored to be coming, but was really hoping it would be significantly lighter. BMW UK lists the F48 25d at 3,681 lbs and while the diesel is likely heavier than the petrol motor we'll get, our standard content is usually quite a bit heavier.

You're not... Even if I have the 135 dedicated for track days, I like my X1 for what it's capable of. It's a great base to cool mods. The new one is not. BMW wants to make money with a cheaper car sold at the same price. I won't follow them on this route, but I'm sure a lot will.

Keep.
I already order some new stuff just to keep it nice. The new X1 is not in our books at all. Except the exterior, I despise everything from technical to interior design. So, we keep our boy. |

See ya X1! Can't wait to be rid of this car. Not because it's terrible, but because my new car will be epic. Yes, epic. I'm number three on the list, so I'll be getting first allocation. I'll also be doing ED this time around.

Keeping ours. No reason not to, still does what we ask of it. It's a car, not an iPhone.

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-M3-S65_4.0L/ES1899562/ And I have ordered new rear bumper and the sides, I want to apply clear coat over the silver area and install them after. It is easier to clean the tar spots and give the car a different look. I also reordered a new set of mud flaps to install when I will put the new stuff on. I almost triggered the order for anew exhaust but changed my mind after they said that needs some cutting and welding. |

[QUOTE=Tracus;18147655]Not much, I just ordered a new light switch to access the rear fog lights.
http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-M3-S65_4.0L/ES1899562/ Thanks for posting the link to the rear fog lights. I just ordered one but it showed a ship date of August 24th. I'll call them tomorrow to see if that's correct or if it's a typo.

Unlike most here, I like the new design and will consider it when my lease is up next year. Most of all I prefer the higher seating position and I think the looks are improved as it looks more like a proper SUV now.
