Double post is bad. The exhaust is not much talked about except DPs. The rest of the piping nobody deals with for these cars so we don't deal back. You could go to an exhaust shop and have them cut out the resonator and weld in new pipe. I did that on my ranger for less than 100 bucks.

Terrible place to get your car dyno tested. The fans they used for cooling and air intake were desk top fans. Also, they kept my DSC on and couldn't figure out the traction issues or the removal of the xDrive fuse. Needless to say, I'm glad I only paid $126 CDN for their service. Pretty sure my JB4 gives me more than 18 whp. /rantoff

Yeah, EWG. The problem was heat dissipation. You can tell the timing was being cut back because the torque is so high down low, but rapidly drops off. Same with the horsepower, it isn't building properly because the timing is too far behind. That's what happenes when the guy running the dyno hasn't a clue.
I should have taken pictures of the process, because it was laughable what they used for fans and where they put temp probes. .

To start with I am looking to simply get my music streaming form my iPhone 6 to my 2010 X1.
I cant seem to get it to work with the factory equipment so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I can use the bluetooth to make calls but not stream music. My cheap and nasty citroen could stream music over bluetooth so I am amazed a BMW doesn't. Has anyone had any experience in doing a bluetooth mod? Even if it means I have to buy a satnav kit to install into the dash at the top where the little cubby hole is? Then once this is sorted the next step is tint the windows, yeah! Then I'll read through this thread in full and see what interesting things other people have done and perhaps nick a few ideas :-) |

Just got a 2015 X1 N55. Couldn't find the answer with a quick search...is the 2015 X1 N55 electronic wastegate now? Or still the old wastegate? Trying to figure out the jb4 ewg harness situation. Thanks

To get to 100% e85 you need to address the HPFP side of things too. I am doing a stage 2 lpfp and am waiting for the Fuel IT throttle body injection setup to come out.

Ho hum.
Sorry beamerboi, I guess I should not have expected more from a NY native living in Florida. Was it really necessary to send me a PM calling me a dick though? And you should correct the grammar on your "professional photography" website. And sorry to break your heart wantm135i, I do wear the pants in my house. But my wife does have a PhD in education so I guess it rubs off on me after a while. You know, I am really not a bad guy and not all that uptight. I would simply rather read posts that make sense, were written in a comprehsnible manner and had a purpose. Ok, I admit it, I am a little uptight. But just a little. |
