Voice control telling me my phone book is empty
Hi all.
I have my phone synced to my car using bluetooth. The only way I can get to the phone book is to press 'Menu' and then "Telephone" and then press one of the little buttons at the bottom and then I can scroll through my contacts using the knob. That's a pain to do all the time and I was trying to do it using the steering controls but I don't think that's possible (unless anyone can tell me otherwise). So I tried the voice control and said 'phonebook'. It then tells me the phonebook is empty. Anybody else had this issue? |

I have a 2014 with no iDrive or Nav. The phone book for the Voice Command has to be entered "manually". I think the command is "save name", then you just follow the prompts. It's in the 2014 manual. Good luck.

I'm really disappointed with the BT on the BMW's. My Abarth (a fancied up FIAT) which only cost $17k new automatically uploads all my contacts into the car and is a breeze to use. WTF BMW?
