My Midnight Blue X1!
Pick up last nite. LOVE LOVE LOVE the color! Too bad it's rainy and already pick up some dirt
So far I love the performance, have enough power, great handling even on a tall car without sport suspension. Engine sounds better than most 4 pots I drove (so much better than Audi/VW 2.0t). Love the seats, love the paddle shifter! Things I don't like so far: a tiny lag on gas from stop, kind of like the new 5 but not as bad. No sun visor vanity mirror lights, not a big deal at all but you would expect that on a luxury car. No sunglasses holder? Thing I really hate is the ASS! I experience that on a 5 and it was bad; at least it was quieter, on X1 it is loud and really shaky! Even if I don't mind that I am afraid it will shorten the engine life with all the cranking! Nice color! I agree with your review.
How much is the lag off from stop? Do you also feel that the gas pedal is a little "sticky" in operation from 0? Last edited by Humble_Bear; 10-09-2012 at 04:08 PM.. |

Congratulations! A great car. I have two questions:
1. You get a Sport Line with paddle shifters. Is the paddle shifter option NC (no charge) for your Sport Line? 2. Do you get servotronic? If not, how do you feel about the steering wheel, too heavy or just right? I am going to order a X1 xDrive 28i Sport Line. Everything else is determined, except for one thing - not sure if need the servotronic. Both my wife and I will drive the car. I am ok, but afraid that the steering wheel may be too heavy for my wife if not ordering servotronic. Last edited by MSportX1; 10-10-2012 at 01:19 AM.. |

I test drove one without servotronic and I order mine with it. It is very heavy without it but that's what I like. The reason I order it because my wife will sometime drive the car to NYC and she would have a hard time turning and park without some assist. With servotronic it is fine in city but light on hwy. If your wife not usually drive around city or spend too much time at the mall parking I would say order one without it. |

That color looks quite different than the configurator on bmw's site. On their site it looks much ligher, teal or sea foam blue rather than a nice deep blue like yours shows.

It is not a lite color but it looks different on different light condition and angles! When at night it is a very dark blue, day time it is lighter blue with green hue (like my photos) and at sunny day it is even lighter with more green hue. It is one of the most complex body color I ever seen!
