Replace dashboard trim
Just wondering if anyone has attempted to replace the dashboard trim/finisher piece and can tell me how to do it? Mine has the stock silver/aluminium, and it's not what I would have chosen if I had bought new. I don't really want to replace all the interior trim pieces, but the 2015 models add a gloss black finisher (on the sport line, I believe) that I like and I think it would look fine with the rest of the stock trim. Thanks.

Trim Pieces
Heres a thread that would help.
http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=752743 I also did the same with my interior without the red strip though. Its really inexpensive to do. Careful with the shifter/iDrive piece I almost broke the brackets trying to pry the piece out. Last edited by ArtEduc8r; 10-17-2017 at 01:03 PM.. |

I'm the opposite, I have the wooden and replaced (covered) it with aluminum finish wrap. Its easy to remove, install and wrap.
I think I did all for about 3-4 hrs total for the 1st time but for sure will be faster the next time I want to change it. You can find some youtube videos on how to remove them. I just used some plastic prying tools. Not sure how to do spoiler tag here but my images are huge, sorry.
