I went up to our 4th floor today to a room that’s not used often (dormerd bedroom/bath suite in the former attic) and the lighting looked a little off.

At first, I thought a bulb was blown out, then I noticed this little gem in the window. There’s always something stupid going on in this 160 year old house.

I finally found someone with a long enough ladder to get to it, but in the meantime, I think I’ll move our overnight guests to a different room

And the hive is dead. Bee guys came and made the nest uninhabitable. They’ll probably move to some other part of this crazy old house but at least they’re gone from this nest.
They also got rid of an inground yellow jacket nest that I never knew was there and surprised nobody found it “the hard way”
