My ambiance lighting fooling around...experiment.
Well I put extra ambiance lighting in my baby yesterday. This pics do not do it justice it looks way better in person. I found a dimmer that will dim it to a classy brightness and looks super cool... Im still playing around with the LED;s as I want to get it just right. The blue sorta makes the amber light standout too. The trick is not to over do it so it will not start looking too childish... Not that childish is bad but not the look Im going for....

Na I like the contrast as it would look hideous if it was all covered...

Yes but it looks cooler that you would think when lit up but not super bright...

why in blue? red would be much nicer considering ur accent on the trims + if u would hide away the dimmer button instead of out there in the center....
None the less, cool idea! |

Yep red was my next choice but I had accesses to the blue LED over the weekend it was just 40.00 bucks and again this is a test run in progress as Im looking at other options and colors for the finished detail product. I will say its real fun to play with but as Im learning NOT to over do it as the old tacky monster will get the best of the idea..LOL

Note that I say "as far as I know", cause I haven't tried it yet. But here's a post about it being done on the 3-series. When using a knob without a button, it apparently acts like if the button is depressed all the time. |

Great look. Don't suppose you've got time to list the parts used and a quick guide as where you connected the LEDs to?
Interested in doing something in the doors to match how my Audi A1 looked. J. |
