Parking Sensor Alarms whenever I'm in Reverse

Hi All,

I have a 2014 X1 28i and the parking sensor will alarm every time the vehicle is put in reverse. There is no code for the parking alert system, parking alert button lights up (no flashing) and button works to disable the alert (have to press it every time I backup). I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the overhead obstacle graphic in the iDrive screen give any hints as to which sensor detects the phantom obstruction?

My car does not have iDrive, so I cannot verify it this way.
