)... Sindelfingen, which is right next to Boeblingen, is where most (at least all the good ones) Mercedes Benz cars are produced (as I am sure you know)....and yes, Zuffenhaussen does not have its own tag designation since it's a suburb of Stuttgart ;-)
You are absolutely correct, the more authentic tag would start with S-
