My dealership charges $75 - $100 for an oil change. There is no reason for them not to reset the oil service indicator. Maybe you misunderstood and they are not willing to reset the brake fluid indicator which makes sense. The majority of the cost they quoted you should have been for the brake fluid. If things transpired like you said then I just wouldn't do business with them. As mentioned before you can reset the indicators yourself.
