It’s a great movie for Michael Bay fans. If you’re down for explosions, hot women, car chases and gun battles - all captured by frenetic/gratuitous focus on T&A camera work...well, you’ll enjoy this one a lot. Critics are less forgiving of things like empty plots, which is why i think they killed it on rotten tomatoes.
Ryan Reynolds, as usual, plays himself - which is usually fun but in this movie he has a lot less wisecracks. I thought the scene with the magnets on the boat was the one original thing they came up with. My only small complaint (setting aside all the stock complaints about Michael Bay films, of course) was that the product placement was contrived and pretty distracting.
