B. Failed T-Stat/needs replacement
c. Possible loose/faulty connection from wire to unit

What is common with this vehicle? Has Approx 125k miles. Also has a P0442 small Evap leak, is that most likely an easy fix with a new gas cap?
B or C would be the most likely cause of P0597, with it more than likely being a failed Thermostat. It looks like you are outside of the warranty period for the thermostat, because there is an extended warranty for that specific item (known to fail). If you are relatively handy, it looks simple to replace the thermostat, but messy. If you go to the stealership, I would guess you are looking at around $750 to replace and it might just be time for you to get a new water pump at the same time.

Good Luck!
