If it's a foreign object, I'm pretty sure that would be covered under your comprehensive policy. Comprehensive covers "damage caused by an event other than a collision". A foreign object is just that.
Not really different than flood damage, for example. Or a tree falling on your car. A really tiny tree made its way into your intake, that's all.
That's what the dealer was alluding to...I'm actually surprised they didn't suggest you do the same thing when they told you it was a foreign object.
