Thanks for reaching out RadRacer. We have decided to hold on to the X1 after all, and will be selling our 2015 Land Rover LR4 which we no longer need. And yes, I did solve the Android issue. Basically it involves bypassing the power wire from the Android unit harness and instead using the OEM signal.
