It is only my opinion having had Koni yellows on two other vehicles. the ride was firmer yet the ride quality better. i consider my g35 to be a comparable ride to my X1. despite being much lower, the ride quality and handling are so much better. i would easily have gone Koni for my X1 were they available. They have proven extremely durable. I have heard some reports of leaks but by and large they will probably last the life of the car.
I have had the Bilsteins long enough to appreciate them but they still leave me wanting... at least on h&r springs. i wish the setup was even more damped.
