Two cars, the daily driver. Comfortable, utilitarian but enjoyable to drive and then for number 2. It goes out on the weekend, or evening runs just for shits and giggles.
This has worked for me for years, I usually keep my daily for at least 7 years, and then it gets replaced for reliability issues rather than boredom. I find that I usually end up keeping my toy for at least 5 years.
