We lived in Virginia for 23 years, then moved to Iowa for four years in 2007. Four years later we moved back, to our vacation home in Maryland but both of our daughters were in college in Virginia.
I always felt safe going just under 15mph over the limit. When we moved back and did a lot of driving in Virginia, whoops - the new rule is 10 mph. 11 mph over the speed limit can get you pulled over.
Cops everywhere. Driving all kinds of cars including Dodge Chargers - but always American branded. Changing speed limits everywhere including on roads that look and feel like highways.
And NOW they can get you on the fly - either coming at you or behind you they can track your speed. They never sit at speed traps anymore.
Same goes for Maryland. Lots of speed cameras too. I think you gotta watch yourself anywhere on the East Coast, frankly.
