Perhaps the hood sensor above is not your issue. The hood/bonnet/lid catches also appear to have a micro switch in them. Check out this link to the TIS website that might shed some light (you can follow the links at the top of the page and start over to enter your car's VIN so that you'll have the correct model...then type key words/phrases into the search box):

Catch with microswitch:
Detach plug connection from microswitch.
