Same thing that happened to all of the Gawker sites, quality people left for greener pastures and the place went to hell in a handbasket.
Whole family of sites is pretty much just a virtue-signalling SJW-fest at this point, but I still check in on Jalop, Deadspin and io9 from time to time.
