I get what you are saying an agree with you 99% Frankly I am still considering using spacers myself.

That said, my career has primarily been based on failure analysis & probability of failure. Component count is one the single biggest drivers of increased chances of failure. In this case you are adding components in one of the most critical locations of a car.

So while I agree there really isn't anything wrong with quality spacers that are used correctly, I will always recommend using the fewest components possible first.

With wheels, this means if you ultimately want an offset of ET25, you are better served with an ET25 wheel than a ET30 wheel with a 5mm spacer
