I was super bummed this morning. It was completely overcast and nasty. We already had plans to go to a park near our hotel. Got there around 9am thinking it would be packed. Nope. There were some people there but not many. No issues getting a covered picnic table.

Still cloudy as fuck. Hung out and had lunch there and all of the sudden the clouds all started clearing. It would get covered every so often by some clouds but for the most part it was clear. Then a little while before totality it got totally clear and stayed that way throughout the whole thing.

I thought it was amazing. Even my friends that were skeptical about how cooler totality would be vs the partial we saw in 2017 were impressed. We really lucked out and so glad it wasn't a wasted trip, because honestly haven't been a huge fan of this part of TX otherwise, but that's another story.
