Are you trolling? I picked the X1 over the X3 mostly because it has better room for the driver. The X3 has a bigger dash, and I would bash my knee against it. This was a strong deciding factor.
The engine power to weight ratio was the other major decision factor, and the X1 35i wins there.
If anything, I think the X3 and X5 appeal to women as soccer mom cars, while the X1 appeals more to men precisely because there's not a lot of room for children.
