Funny, the procedure loukas described at the top of the thread is exactly the same as a step to bleed coolant. Holding the pedal to the ground (with engine off and ignition on) will run the water pump for about 12 minutes to circulate new coolant. Maybe that's the "mechanical noise" people are hearing?
