Thought I might add a photo of my X1 sitting on 17" wheels (Kosei KR8's) with slightly taller (225/55-17 Goodyear F1 Asymmetric A/S) tires after I pulled the stock 18's. While not any sort of an off road type tire, or wheel for that matter, this setup fits very nicely in the wheel well with no rubbing issues. One might be able to go a bit larger in tire size actually...
