If BMW insists on waiting to introduce the X1 to the US market, they won't have to worry about production capacity at Leipzig since those that need to replace their current vehicle will already have done so with another brand. Which is good news for the rest of us who aren't on any time table constraints and can afford to play the waiting game.

Wonder if this whole thing is sort of like the concert promoter who promised Beatles fans a reunion concert if they bought tickets in advance and some people are still waiting for the band to take the stage in-spite of the fact that John & George are no longer with us.
