Yes I agree. My 991.1S is manual and I personally love manual and NA engines. That said, I've owned a G80 6mt, G80xdrive, and now a G80 CS and the xdrive and CS are without question better, more cohesive and put together overall. I cannot stand the manual in the BMWs. Whether it's the rubbery and vague shifter/gearbox, the awful engagement of the clutch, the pedal placement, or the way it feels rev match downshifting...it's just not a great experience. Not enough to say I'm going to pass us, arguably, the most well rounded package in the xdrive and even more so the CS. If I were you, I'd get myself a lot of seat time with an M2 manual because I dont believe just having a manual is enough. The manual needs to be good, and there is where Caddy is the only manufacturer to get anywhere near Porsche level good for that type of transmission.
