I think I can help. Definitely want to prep the glass before a sealant.

Clay is good advice; you could use Adam’s Brilliant Glaze to prep the window too. It is easy to apply and remove; can be used inside the windows too.

I didn’t use Adams’ glass sealant; I use Adam's Graphene Ceramic Glass Coating. Didn’t last too long and won’t recommend this. I will try Griot’s glass sealer next time. I need to do my sunroof soon to help with my washing.

As for streak-free cleaning; I like Adam’s glass cleaner - green bottle with Griot's Garage PFM Crinkle Glass Towels. Normally, you need towel to clean and then come back with a clean towel to buff.
I tried so many towels for a streak-free and even the diamond window towels. They all streak and grab the windows. I love the crinkle glass towels.

It seems like most products from Adams’ you need a towel to apply and then a towel to buff. Especially, their slick & slide…etc….
