IMO, having DI resin delivered to your door and changing it out is far less of a PITA than continuously going to the store to buy multiple 1 gallon jugs of water, but to each thier own. I typically only need to swap my resin over twice a year washing two cars and the occasional 24' travel trailer with 200ppm incoming water. And this is using DI water for the whole wash process, not just the final rinse.
