I e installed my own twice. It never lasts more than 2 years and needs to be replaced often. Windshield wipers sometimes chatter depending on the brand and how pitted it is. The window PPFs are usually a different material from regular PPF and usually don't self heal. So overtime they get scratched and pitted and damaged.
I'm not a fan personally.
