I've always found PPFs to look not great. It reduces the gloss and depth of the paint. It just isn't as clear as nothing.
Personally, with the prices people are paying for PPF installs, I'd rather do touch ups .myself and eventually just get a respray on panels that are beyond touch up if that happens.
