I'd be curious to know if it can be smoothed out.
* Maybe similarly, with heat
* Maybe sanded, if it doesn't go all the way through
There's a part of me that says go for it, it's already messed up, if the methods fail it's in the same state. There's another part that says live and learn, if it's reasonably out of site only you will ever see it, and forget about it.
